Upon Further Refelction,

Perhaps I should stop purchasing children's books at the Dollar Store.

The "e" and "l" are transposed. Refelction. Don't dollar store books have editors?

In order to properly maintain my book snob image, I feel I must explain why I buy children's books at the Dollar Store.

There are two types of children's books in my house: Mama's books and play books. Since I have a large collection of children's books (some of them from my childhood or my parents' childhoods and some because I used to be a children's bookseller), all of the "Mama" books stay on the bookshelves and only Mama can get them out.

But my kids love books so much (they are the most highly played with toy item in my house), I buy sturdier books for them to have whenever they want. Little kids are death on books, so I buy a lot of board books and some of those board books come from the Dollar Store because I feel less guilty throwing them away when they get too worn.

It is hard, however, to find board books at the Dollar Store that are not either really creepy or crazy religious. Or without typos, apparently.

Bawahahaha. I'm not at all sure that's even why they are at the dollar store. I've found one or two in a couple I've purchased somewhere else too. No child left behind. Also, no copy editor on duty.

I have that same problem with the Mama books mysteriously getting destroyed. I love the thrift store for kid's books and you can find more of the mainstream books there. : )
